DATA PREPARATION FOR MACHINE CONTROL

We can communicate directly with the Engineer or Architect on your behalf and prepare progress reports or act as comminucations liason and consultant for our services.

Most Engineer and Architect 2D and 3D digital design files cannot be directly loaded into machines. The Design files first must be converted to useful and relevant 2D & 3D digital data, allowing your Machine Control system to accurately grade, excavate or place material correctly.

Each brand of Machine Control systems control box software uses a unique proprietary file format, therefore the converted Engineer design files must be prepared so they can be imported directly into your machines Control Box software.

While these files are being processed and converted, the design is also analyzed for inconsistencies and reports are prepared for the client, so any adjustments or errors are eliminated before work begins. A&N 4D Data Solutions can communicate directly with the Engineer or Architect on behalf of the client and report back on progress and key project communication. Any prepared data files will be adjusted to “Tie/Fit” the site Control or legal property pins or a coordinate projection.

Leica MC1, Topcon 3DMC, Trimble GCS & Earthworks are just some of the common data formats we work with on a regular basis and we also provide training on a number of these formats.
